Two Examples of Analytical Theories

Analytical theories that separate and discriminate between kinds of humans are the most powerful, most interesting, and most dangerous kinds of analyses.  However, we may not notice them because we live with them every day.   School tests and grades, medical treatments and workplace evaluations are all based on some analytical tool which allows for a separation of the whole individual into smaller parts and makes a comparison of those parts.  The re-groupings, actions and conclusions that follow the comparisons may or may not be welcome to the individual thus analyzed.

Consider the implications of these two analytical tools:

This tool is used to distinguish between personality types.  Workers are sometimes asked to take such a test to determine team placements.
